Wow, it's been almost 2 months since my last update on upcoming NJ beers.  Get ready for lots of labels! (also, I didn't add any pictures of the keg labels.  So if there's no picture with the beer's name, it's a keg beer!) One of the most interesting things about today's beer world   is the different ways that brewery owners choose to run their brewery.  You can open a brewpub or have a production brewery.  In your production brewery you can have a small tasting bar, a larger bar where you can serve flights and pints, or you can not let any patrons in the brewery at all!  The size of your brewery also makes a huge difference in your business plan. Two breweries in Mt. Holly, NJ, Spellbound Brewing and Village Idiot Brewing, really showcase many of these differences. Both Village Idiot and Spellbound Brewing Companies have been open for a short time, and with quite different business plans.  First, the things they have in common.  1)  Both in Mt. Howdy everyone!  Let's check out the NJ beer label approvals from the last month! Beach Haus Brewery Looks like Beach Haus Brewery is gearing up to expand their portolio with these six bottle labels Bolero Snort Brewery Enjoying spring so far?  Some bottles of Bolero Snort's recent bottle release, Tabull Saison, may help! Cape May Brewing Company Cape May Brewing received keg label approval for South Jersey Seccession Session Scottish Ale.  Gordon Ramsay r ecently tapped a cask of this beer at the opening of one of his pubs in Atlantic City. Conclave Brewing I'm very excited to see keg label approvals from yet to open Conclave Brewing.  Hopefully this means they will be opening in Raritan Twp, NJ sooner rather than later!  They received keg label approvals for their Pale Ale, Saison Farmhouse Ale and their Stout. Here are all of the beer label approvals since my last update (mid-January).  I'm not sure when these beers are being released, so check with the brewery before you go out looking for them! 902 Brewing :  902 Brewing's American Pale Ale called Pale Ale True Hobo (PATH) received keg approval.  It is clearly stated on the keg that the beer is brewed at Climax Brewing for 902 Brewing.  It is 37 IBUs (from their website, ABV between 5-6%).  902 Brewing also had keg approval for Heaven Hell or Hobo , their American IPA.  According to the label, it is 68 IBUs (from their website, 6.5% ABV). Angry Erik Brewing :  Angry Erik's Freaky Freydis , a stout brewed with cocoa nibs, saw its keg label approved. Bolero Snort Brewery :  Bolero Snort's late winter/early spring seasonal Lucky Buck Irish Dry Stout saw an updated label approval.  This year it will be bottled instead of canned.  Lucky Buck will be 4.0% ABV. Hey everyone!  This week we finally see some labels for the new Little Dog Brewing Co., opening soon in Neptune City, NJ!  We also see two more mead labels from Melovino Meadery (Vauxhall, NJ), as well as a keg label from Belford Brewing and a keg label from Spellbound Brewing (Mt. Holly, NJ).  Cheers! There were definitely some interesting label approvals for NJ beers this week --- First, we have two 12 oz. bottle approvals from Cape May Brewing Company (Rio Grande).  Mop Water, which is an ale brewed with spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, whole-bean vanilla), and Coastal Evacuation, a double IPA brewed with Centennial hops.   Next we have a keg label from just opened Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing (Cherry Hill) for a smoked porter they are calling Morro Castle.  Sounds tasty to me. Last, but not least, we have a keg label from soon to be opening Spellbound Brewing (Mt. Holly). The label is for their porter.
