Hey everyone! Thanks for coming by! Last week, Kerry and I both got new smartphones. We both had smartphones for the last two years, but the phones eventually lost much of their functionality and slowed down so much that using the internet and apps was more trouble than they were worth. We were so excited to get our new phones, and are slowly starting to use a lot of the apps we couldn't use before. I can now check in to beers on my phone again using Untappd (add me here), and have started using Instagram (username MouldsBeerBlog)! I wish I could also view my Instagram feed on my computer. I'm sure there's a plug-in I could find somewhere that would let me do that.
Tonight I am drinking Left Hand Brewing Company's Milk Stout Nitro. Left Hand worked hard to develop a method of bottling their nitrogen infused milk stout, and they did it without the use of a widget, which is used in canned Guinness. When pouring Milk Stout Nitro, you need to pour aggressively, which will activate the nitrogen gas throughout the beer. Let's pout this one out and see how it is!

Left Hand Brewing Milk Stout Nitro pours black with a creamy, light tan head. As I swirl the beer, lacing catches the side of the glass, and only slowly slides back down. Lots of aromas mix together in this one. There are roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and smoked meat. The taste follows suit quite nicely. Milk Stout Nitro is very smooth and creamy. The body is somewhere between average and full, probably a bit closer to full. The carbonation feels quite low.

I have never had the Nitro Bottle version but I love this one. Another beer you can never go wrong with.
ReplyDeleteI love that you got a new phone, which one? I'm just curious, March 1 I my upgrade comes into play. Tired of my current one lol
I went with the Samsung Galaxy SIII. Was originally going to get an iPhone, but once I saw the Samsung with the big screen, I just fell in love with it. I don't think I can go back to a phone with a smaller screen! What phone were you thinking about getting?
DeleteI was thinking about the SIII or the Note II. Haven't really made my mind. I guess it will happen while I am in store... maybe.
DeleteOohh, the Note's look great!
